perfect packaging

I've been obsessing lately over gorgeous ways to pack my orders, I rarely stay on the same theme for long because I am forever tempted by pretty ribbon, boxes and bakers twine.

I made this treasury featuring some of my favourite packaging finds on Etsy. I've been good so far but I think I may have to order some new things to package up my orders, so check back soon for new packaging (hopefully!).

Nearly Spring..

The weather has certainly taken a turn for the better, with signs of spring in some places. I can never decide if Autumn or Spring is my favourite season, I think I just like the change that it brings. I love Spring blossom and we are looking forward to some gorgeous blossom on our fruit trees this year.

In the spirit of all of this I created this really colourful Treasury today, which certainly helped me feel a bit springier on a Monday morning!

etsy front page!

Yesterday a Treasury West I created made the front page of Etsy! I love creating treasuries, especially as I get to look at lots of gorgeous shops, so its even better when I get one of mine on the front page for all to see.

My treasury featured the following artists, please check out their Etsy shops.

marieflyfly, aBreathofFrenchair, Applause Design, stamp, snapdragonbeads, allthosethrees, fleurfatale, treacletoffee, Sneddoniart, longwinterfarm, graceandglam and cherrypips.

Well done everyone!

Treasures!

I've been a busy bee on the Etsy Treasuries lately, after a long break from them. I love creating treasuries, browsing through Etsy is great although it does make my wish list a lot longer.

This treasury was last week and was selected for the front page of Etsy, yay! One of the last summery ones I think I am going to do, I'm thinking of autumn more and more now.The inspiration for this Treasury came from the beautiful Cecily Ombre dress by Greygoat, such wonderful colours and a great shape.

My next two are on the site now, both quite autumnal, one a dark maroony brown and another a mossy forest green. Enjoy!

Catch up blog!

I've been busy filling up my shop this week and playing around with snazzy cameras.. so this is a pictorial catch up!

Some new items:

Aqua - sterling silver earrings made with gorgeous sea blue trumpet beads

Spring Snow - milky white briolettes hung from sterling silver.

I had a go on an SLR camera the other day, sadly not mine to keep though, and i was so impressed with the pictures I might have to start saving up.

If you scroll down to a couple of entries ago there is a picture of some blossom in my garden, using my usual camera. Now look how it turned out using this SLR...

Amazing, the colours are so lovely, I might frame this.

I also got a Treasury this week and filled it with delicate and airy things to match the spring weather we've been having (at last!).

Hopefully i will be back soon with more new items! :)

My Birthday!

Yesterday was my 24th birthday and I had a lovely day.

First of all, an Etsy thing...
I managed to get my first Treasury on Etsy yesterday and it features Etsians who share my birthday!

Birthday Treasury

Including this gorgeous butterfly from Ikonic Vintage

I also had a lovely day spent having lunch at the Great House in Lavenham, very nice 3 courses, absolutely stuffed afterwards. The village and the surrounding countryside was also beautiful, and it looked even better because it was such a sunny day! I wish I had taken some pictures now. I did find a picture of their Creme Brulee, which I had!

I have also discovered a really great tea related gadget, which means I shall be drinking much more loose leaf tea in the future. I am very happy about this find:

You tilt it on its side and pour the tea through the strainer part, and the little metal tray catches the drips when you put it down!
Genius! We bought at at Cafe Clare, in Clare, Suffolk - a very nice little cafe with what looked to be gorgeous cakes - we could't manage another bite though so had to miss tasting them this time!

Finally - happy birthday to all the lovely Etsians in my Treasury!
